Margot Robbie’s fans are convinced she is “hiding something” after attendees at her gin launch event were forced to cover their phone cameras with stickers.

The Australian beauty launched her new Papa Salt Coastal Gin range this week at a VIP event in Sydney.

Hosted by Vogue Australia Editor-in-Chief Christine Centenera, the event took place at the Maybe Sammy bar in The Rocks, where Margot was spotted serving surprised locals.

However, guests attending the event were asked to cover their phone cameras with a sticker on the door before heading inside.

In a video obtained by Mail Online, PE Nation founder Pip Edwards and other guests could be seen approaching the door, before a greeter said: “I just have a sticker to put over your phone, no photos.”

Pip agreed: “I get it, it’s good.”

Now fans are wondering if Margot has something to hide, especially as the Wolf of Wall Street star was seen heading inside in an oversized jacket and didn’t pose for photos outside her own gin launch.

One Twitter user said: “I need to know what she's hiding now! Something going on?”

“What is Margot Robbie hiding?” somebody else wondered.

Margot is launching her new Papa Salt gin alongside her husband Tom Ackerley, and created it with some other friends in the film industry.

Inspired by the Australian coast, it’s described on the brand’s website as an “easy-drinking gin that celebrates the subtle taste of native Australian botanicals”.

The final product is said to incorporate flavours of oyster shells, roasted wattleseed and pink peppercorn.

A bottle retails for 57 US dollars, or £46.

Margot is far from the first A-lister to have launched her own spirits brand in recent weeks, following in the footsteps of Harry Potter star Emma Watson and Brad Pitt.

Launched with her brother Alex, Emma’s gin was designed to bring a taste of the Chablis wine region to the UK; while Brad’s Gardener Gin was made with French alcohol experts.
